1:1 Coaching
My passion is coaching educators, and I have benefited greatly from the leadership coaches I have had in my own career. As someone who made sharp career pivots (journalism to an independent school!) and has coached faculty in-house, I know how helpful a coach can be for navigating the complexities, emotions and challenges of a career journey or transition. My coaching program can be offered as 1:1 ongoing coaching, or coaching through a role transition. Examples of focus areas I’ve had with my coaching clients:
Acclimating to an independent school and the dynamics that come with it
Navigating power and politics as a BIPOC educator
Balancing effectiveness and ambition as a leader while maintaining your health and well-being
Battling isolation at your school
Elevating to an academic leadership role as a non-teaching staff member
Finding your way in an independent school as an introvert / neurodivergent person / BIPOC woman / the list goes on!
My 1:1 coaching program is for:
Current and aspiring leaders of color
Women of color
DEIJB practitioners
Staff members or educators who want to move into a leadership or senior leadership role at the school
Emerging and first-time school leaders, especially those who didn’t follow a traditional teaching-to-leadership pathway
Women transitioning back into the workplace after having a baby, or trying to balance parenthood and working
Anyone who feels they could benefit from my guidance and support!
